"Part of Me"

This song is taken from a poem my uncle wrote back in the 70's. I instantly wrote the music to this poem and it's become one of my favorite songs. To me this song is about losing a partner through separation or death. I'm not sure what it means to my uncle. I've never asked him. The original poem was much longer than the song.
