The Band, Alien Rhythm, (in its original form), started as a garage band in the late part of the century with no real "born on" date. We got together to work on original song ideas with no intentions of getting them out for public consumtion. Along the way we decided, like many original acts, to do some open mike nights and found that there was a real positive response to our acoustic rhythm based pop/rock. With a handful of original tunes we started playing out in venues in Tampa's, Ybor City, Hyde Park, Davis Island and as far north as Spring Hill. We opened shows and were satisfied with just playing out occasionally. Every time we played we were asked the same question...."have you got a CD?" That was many configurations of the band ago, but the songs wouldn't go away and in late 2005 we started recording a 5 song demo/EP which was finished in July of 2006. Recorded @ Crystal Blue Studios ( now located in Brandon Fl.), "First Contact" is our answer to the question....yes, we've finally got a "CD". Like most bands we have changed players since we started the project.... but the songs go on and we gladly follow. |
