On a very rotten day, a very good friend of mine wrote a poem to cheer me up. A friend who hadn't written in 20 yrs. I felt driven to place his lyrics to his instrumental piece, which had an intro very similar to one of my own, in regard to chord progression. Undaunted by initial reaction, I polished it to the point that it began to grow on people. My friend used his mixing talents to fix the recording quality, and wah lah... a song of the heart is born.
