Location: Leicester, England The Mile are a Leicester based 5 piece creating a Brit Pop Rock sound that has the lyrical and melodical undertones of Crowded House mixed with the musical sound of Del Amitri and the Verve . Working hard at building their fan base that covers a wide spectrum of ages from venues around the country they are generating interest from local radio and have been approached by Wirral based Chromium Records. The band are now starting to create a buzz around them despite their problems of getting in front of the right audience and look set to make an impact on the music scene. We must say that your music certainly uplifted our mood. This is the type of Brit Pop Rock that is still greatly favoured in the UK and we feel that you would fit right in - Head of A & R Chromium Records. Gig experience has been varied and due to lack of venues catering to an audience for their style of music the band seem to have an uncanny knack of getting on the same bill as Metal/Grunge bands, when this happens (as it often does) the band like to think of themselves as the contrast to the evening and have found a surprising number of Metal Heads tapping their feet to Brit Pop Rock (how their mothers would love to see that!!) The Mile know there is a market out there for what they do, they have seen it, and they are going to work like dogs to get their music out to those who need it.
