BIOGRAPHY

STEPHANIE MASIELLO - Mahopac, NY- singer/songwriter/actress. Dominating vocals and insightful songs. A local entertainment magazine said "Straight up honest, Stephanie has a lot of talent and determination. She's developed so much as a recording artist & actress. She has confidence and a vision that's worth supporting."

Stephanie has been working on this particular CD project, entitled Mysterious, for the past two years. Now, she has re-recorded some of her original songs and added additional compositions. "Although my songs do have personal meaning and are usually inspired by my life experiences, I make an effort not to be too lyrically specific when telling a story. That way, I hope listeners can put their own twist on my song enabling them to relate in ways that are more specific to their own lives," Stephanie candidly said during a recent interview.

Ms. Masiello is an accomplished singer, songwriter, pianist and actress. She was a finalist in an artist search sponsored by NSYNC's Lance Bass' Free Lance Entertainment and Stephanie performed at the North Carolina Lilith Fair Talent Search as a finalist for the nationwide competition sponsored by Xoom.com and was a finalist in Arista's "love song writing contest".

She is a graduate of New York University - Tisch School of the Arts and The Lee Strasberg Theater Institute. She has performed lead roles in a host of theater productions including Grease, Jekyll & Hyde, Anything Goes and Mame.

Stephanie's focus is now centered on Mysterious and as it nears completion, Stephanie is beginning to do photo sessions, ancillary interviews and studio remixes. She works closely with her dad and says, "he can be trusted and he's always honest. Sometimes it's frustrating and we knock heads. At times, I feel a musical pressure to please him but he's definitely not a 'stage dad'. We agree to disagree and ultimately, knowing it's my project, the final decisions are always mine."

Mysterious will be released independently in 2003 and although it features Stephanie and her songs, the CD is "a band concept" in its production structure. Stephanie's been compared to Nora Jones, Vanessa Carlton, Lisa Loeb, Sarah McLachlan and Jewel. She approaches her music with the same drive, song content, no pretense, talent and heart few artists today can claim. For Stephanie, this CD has been a long time coming, a part of her life, but for the listeners and soon-to-be fans, this is only the beginning of music to their ears.
