just a quick note to say high, that i am still alive and well (tho sometimes it's hard to tell...).. life is good, playing alot of music and trying to write and record as the mood hits me. there's more coming eventually, a few brand new things are up there....have at it if ya wanna. this site, and all the "music" on it is dedicated to someone very special and precious to me...G. Kane....the most unbelieveable woman i have ever known, honey, this is for you... there's a song i wrote for her on my audio page...no politics, no dark, hell, no sarcasm even...a rock n roll love song, put on yer dancin' shoes. Gineen...thank you for you being you...my heart soul and love to you....behind wawa's, with bubblewrap in hand... still playing with mark and barry easton, tho we've been on hiatus the last month or so while mike foster has been up recording the new AVALANCHE material...should be back on track there soon. we played our first gig, went surprisingly well...tho i shucked a few clams. this weekend will be a busy one, with Stone Temple Pilots on friday nite, and my first gig with the revitalized Smokin' Herb band playing saturday for the "dirty pigs" MC...should be a blast, the herb hasn't gigged since julie got sick. anyways, thanks for ya'll's continued support, stay tuned and i'll see ya around the net. peace and blessings to all. namaste jimi photon, somewhere in that endless night known as rocknrollville...

i am wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy not worthy of these kinda accolades, just an old hippy from willimantic ct.
but i wanna thank all of you who have listened, maybe downloaded a song or two or whatever.
man, what a birthday present.
LOL.
in the coming months i will be uploading all the updated songs, and as many more as i can squeeze in. i can guarantee that the "reissues" will sound a lot better than the original mixes, i have much better monitoring and thanks to Mark (Easton) and Michael (Foster), i have a better clue how to mix things so they sound, well, good.
Wanna also thank Neil Young for the exposure he gave me on his website to thousands of people that would never have heard of me.
i wanna thank first and foremost, the almighty, my goddess (maybe your god) and # 1 my bride of 16 years Juliane, who has been my inspiration since the day i met her.
it was she that convinced me to take my guitars down after i'd hung them up for good back in the early 90's, completely disgusted by the corporate state of music and government among other things.
the last 3 years i have watched her heroically battle advanced non small cell lung cancer and kick it's ****.
she is the one deserving of kudos, not me.
but i want to thank each and every person that listened.
one of the greatest things about indiehitz is Terry Martin and Nancy Hallo....without them and their vision and LOVE for MUSIC over money, this wouldn't even be possible in the first place.my home is at Indiehitz,net, and i plan on continuing to reside there and have my music hosted there till the goddess calls me home.
anyways, enough blather.
thank you for all each of you have done for me in your way, may whatever your conceptualization of divinity be bless and keep you and yours safe, and may ya never stop rockin'.

hi folks
sorry for the hit and run, been up since Wednesday around midnight.
bt...burnt toast.
enough about me.
jules went in for surgery on Thursday morning.
we got to the hospital about 6:45 am est and they took her in about a quarter to nine to remove her right adrenal gland, where the lung cancer had spread.
it appears the ONLY ACTIVE CANCER in her body (according to a recent PET scan)was a small lesion completely enclosed within the confines of this gland, a small thing that sits on top of the kidney and secretes (natch) adrenalin and a thing called corticosteroid, which was making her swell up.
anyways, rockandroll urologist took that puppy out laparoscopically about 11:am, and called me shortly thereafter to let me know she was ok, all was well and no complications.
he said i could see her after an hour or so,but they couldn;t get a latex-free room to put her in till around 4, so i didn;t get bac with her til almost 5.
note to self:
NEVER EVER EVER truck around all day carrying a damn laptop computer.
what an albatross.
anyways, she was ok, but they had savaged her arms trying to find un-chemotherapy ravaged veins...thereby destroying most of what little was left from the last bout.
she got sick a few times, and we had an exta low blood pressure scare...
but once we got her stable, she was better.
this morning , after a light liquid diet, she seemed 100% better...
shortly after she got up and was walking around, etc, and we convinced them to let us go home.
we got here about 8pm, and , knock on wood, so far all is well...thanks for all the love and support thru this madness,
we love all ya'll even if ya only have read about it and maybe said to yourself, "man, sucks to be them".

at this time, to the best of our knowledge, AT THE MOMENT, there is NO ACTIVE LUNG CANCER IN HER BODY.

ya know what irks the hell outta me?

being a freekin caveman on dialup....it really, really sux ass!! there are some amazing artists up here, far more worthy of the accolades i'm presently confused (but flattered) by... and ya kniow what REALLY pisses me off? most of 'em have forgotten us fuckin' cavemen. i'd LIKE to be able to listen to everyone on the site, a couple things excluded(but nothing personal)...but almost everyone here caters to the DSL/Cable crowd, and well, leaves us poor cavemen in the stone age!! so i humbly implore anyone who reads this to ask their favorite artists to put up LOFI mp3's so we poor neanderthal;s can check stuff out without having to commit to a two hour download, ya know?? so if any of youse guys read this.... remember.... with bush in office and the economy the way it is, there's getting to be more and more of us austalopithecines.... peace jimi

Just wanted to say thanks to all of ya'll that have stopped by to visit, called on the landline, emailed and stuff...especially you folks that just LISTEN,. and like the stuff enough to download it...i am NOT fucking worthy, but your support warms my black old heart, and tho i never met any of ya (well, some of ya i know, lol) i love all ya'll thanks for keeping music alive, and don't forget to rip me off and share my music with your friends if they like it. it's all good, it's all free, it's all a gift/curse, and every time you listen it eases the burden of writing this stuff a little more...my old song Ruby made it to the top of the charts here today, which has tickled me to death...ya'll are the reason i do this shit, it's nice to know that you're listening. if ya REALLY wanna do it right, please pay this forward somehow...give a kid a guitar lesson, or help some one you don't know... or my personal cause, do something to help fight the most prevalent cancer today, LUNG CANCER. i've watched 5 people i knew well die from that shit in the last couple years, and my wife Julie is afflicted too...so please, if ya can, do something to help....even just TALKING about it can help. more people die from this shit every year than any other cancer... breast cancer gets all the publicity, and while i love the boobies, and want to see that eradicated as well, realize please that not all people with lung cancer are smokers or old people. that shit canhit at any time. any one. maybe somebody you love. i sure hope not. anyways, if ya read this rant of mine, know that i am eternally gratefukl for your support, and preay whatever your concept of divinity may be blesses you profusely with peace and prosperity and happiness. now, smoke a phatty, and listen. thanks... jimi pocius http://jimipocius.com here is a picture of the band from the "Ruby" sessions back in 1985, taken by my mom Ethel in front of her house:
